Obverse description Notgeld note printed in dark tones with a decorative border enclosing a central text block in German Kurrent script setting out the note's validity as legal tender for all municipal cashiers in Gotha and its conditions of redemption, dated 15 August 1921. The denomination '90' appears in the lower right corner within a circular vignette, while the upper portion bears the large gothic-lettered inscription 'Neunzig Pfennig'. The lower left corner carries a small municipal seal or emblem, with the Stadtrat's facsimile signature below the text block and a serial number at the bottom.
