备注

Pürstling is a tiny rural commune in the Hausruckviertel district of Upper Austria, and this 90 Heller Notgeld note is precisely the kind of hyperlocal emergency scrip that proliferated across Austria between 1919 and 1922 when the post-imperial monetary system had effectively collapsed. Municipal and even village authorities issued their own fractions of the Krone simply to keep local commerce moving. The 90 Heller denomination is an odd one — most communes stuck to round figures — which suggests it was calculated to meet a specific gap in local change supply rather than issued as part of a standard series.

Johann Wagner's signature as issuing authority places him as the Bürgermeister or a senior commune official at the time. The Jaksch/Pick reference 0803la confirms this sits within the catalogued Upper Austrian series, though survival rates for small-commune Notgeld vary enormously — larger print runs from market towns held up far better than village issues.
