背面描述	The reverse presents a photographic vignette of a lone skier hauling a sledge across Arctic sea ice under an open sky, occupying the lower half of the note. The upper portion carries a printed text block headed "North Pole Expedition" set against an underprint of Arctic cartographic imagery. A circular Polar Dollar emblem appears at lower left, with the denomination numeral "9" at lower right.
背面铭文	ARCTIC TERRITORIES North Pole Expedition The North Pole is the northernmost point on the earth. Here will all the directions point to south. The North Pole is located in the middle of the Arctic Ocean and has almost been permanently covered with constantly shifting sea ice. At the North Pole is the sun continously above the horizon in summer time. In recent years, a numbers of studies have predicted that the North Pole may become seasonally ice-free due to Arctic shrinkage. Later years expeditions by ski have been more and more complicated and several expeditions have been abandoned due the change of climate with more and more areas shifting with ice and water.
