| Beschrijving keerzijde | Owl standing to right with head facing front, displayed in the characteristic Athenizing style common to Lemnian coinage. Behind the owl, a pair of tongs is depicted, serving as the civic emblem of Hephaistia and referencing the cult of Hephaistos, god of the forge. To the right of the owl, the abbreviated ethnic legend reads ΗΦΑΙ in Greek characters. The overall reverse composition is compact and well-centred within the small irregular flan. |

Hephaistia, on the northern coast of Lemnos, remained one of the island's two dominant poleis well into the Hellenistic period, though its independent coinage output was modest and irregular. Bronze fractions of this size were almost certainly fiduciary tokens for small local transactions rather than issues with any reach beyond the island itself.
