A suspension hole is pierced at the top of the medallion.

Reverse description Two conjoined heraldic shields in relief occupy the central field: the left shield bears the stylized 'M' of the Leipzig Trade Fair arms, the right shield displays a rampant lion representing the city arms of Leipzig. The dates '1165' and '1965' are inscribed above the shields, flanking a central spire element. The Meissen crossed-swords mark appears in the lower field below the shields.
