| Obverse description | The obverse depicts the Temple of Heaven (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests) in Beijing, rendered in fine detail at center, enclosed within a circular border. The Chinese national inscription 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs along the upper periphery, while the commemorative legend 中国熊猫金币发行三十五周年纪念 (35th Anniversary of the Chinese Gold Panda Coin Issue) curves along the lower portion of the field. The date 2017 appears in the lower exergue beneath the temple motif. The design is executed in polished proof finish with frosted relief against a mirror field. |
