| Obverse description | Draped bust of Queen Isabella II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with a decorative ornament of spherical beads, engraved in a naturalistic Romantic style attributed to Mariano González de Sepúlveda. The queen's truncated effigy occupies the central field, with fine detail rendered in the curling locks and décolletage. A circular legend in raised Latin letters runs along the periphery, interrupted at the base by the mint date. The toothed border frames the entire design. |
