At lower centre, an oval portrait of the author Hermann Löns (1866–1914) is set within an arched frame bearing his name, flanked to the left by a heath shepherd with his flock and to the right by a juniper-and-heathland landscape. The denomination "80 PFENNIGE" is repeated in dark cartouches at lower left and right, and the Low German issuing text and a verse appear in two panels across the lower register. |
