| Reverse description | The reverse bears a multi-line Arabic legend in Ottoman script occupying the central field, arranged in three horizontal registers. At the top of the field, the regnal year numeral (١٦, i.e., year 16) is prominently displayed above the mint formula. The inscription reads 'Struck in Tripoli West, 1203,' recording the mint name, the Hijri year of Sultan Selim III's accession, and the regnal year. The legend is contained within a plain linear inner circle, itself surrounded by a beaded border consistent with the obverse treatment. |
