| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in violet on cream paper, the obverse carries two lateral vignettes: a view of the parish church of Pfarrkirchen at left and a domed rotunda identified as the 'Tassilo-Quelle' at right. The central field bears the issuer's name 'Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall' in a ruled panel at top, flanked by validity dates 'Gültig bis 1. Oktober 1920' in the upper corners, with the denomination '80 H' in bold numerals at the lower corners. Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall is a small parish commune in the Steyr-Land district, and this 80 Heller Notgeld is one of dozens of odd denominations that Austrian municipalities were forced to print locally when the postwar coin shortage became acute. The 80 Heller value is notably awkward — it exists because tram fares, postal rates, and small retail transactions in 1920 demanded exact change that the central monetary system simply could not supply.
Priezel of Steyr was a regional print shop, not a specialist securities printer. Authentication relied entirely on the applied municipal seal rather than any embedded security feature.
