Flanking the elephant are two ceremonial candelabra on stepped bases, with ritual vessels at the base. The outer legend reads in Lao script at left and in Latin script at right 'ROYAUME DU LAOS', with the denomination 'ກີບ 80.000 KIP' inscribed along the lower border. The fineness mark '900' appears in the lower exergue and the mintage number '500' is visible at the top of the inner circle. |
