| Mô tả mặt trước | The obverse is entirely occupied by the Shi'a profession of faith rendered in bold thuluth calligraphy, arranged in three horizontal registers within a rectangular cartouche set against a deeply recessed field. The central legend reads the Shahada followed by the acknowledgement of Ali as the Friend of God. Surrounding the central cartouche, the field is filled with an intricate arabesque of intertwining floral and vegetal scrollwork that extends to a plain inner border. The composition is characteristic of late Safavid calligraphic coin design, with the deeply cut lettering exhibiting strong relief against the darkened background. |

The upper register reads 'banda-yi Shah-i Wilayat' (servant of the King of Sanctity), the central register bears the royal name 'Husayn', and the lower register records the mint name 'zarb Isfahan' (struck at Isfahan) together with the AH regnal year 1123. The bold, sweeping strokes of the nastaliq are characteristic of the Isfahan mint's finest late Safavid production, with the bead border providing a refined decorative frame. |
