A secondary small circular stamp bearing the numeral 8 is also present, confirming the face value of 8 Reales. The host coin is a cob-style macuquina of hammered fabric, with the irregular planchet typical of emergency coinage. The combination of stamps served to validate and re-denominate the host coin for official circulation within Costa Rica. |
