背面描述	Central shield displaying the Peruvian national arms: a vicuna to the left, a cinchona tree to the right, and a cornucopia at the base, all within a quartered escutcheon. The shield is flanked by branches of laurel and palm tied at the base. A Guatemalan Type IV counterstamp featuring a sunburst device is applied to the left portion of the shield. The circular peripheral legend reads REPUB. PERUANA, with the denomination 8 R., assayer initials J. M., mint mark M (Lima), and the date 1825 arranged around the field, within a beaded border.
