8 Reales Type I Countermark

正面描述	Type I Costa Rican countermark consisting of a radiant six-pointed star punched within a small incuse circle of approximately 7 mm diameter, applied to the obverse of a host coin. The host coin displays a laureate and draped bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, with the full royal legend disposed around the periphery and the date in the exergue. The countermark is crisply struck and its placement varies relative to the host coin's design elements.
