Obverse description	Central quartered shield displaying alternating castles of Castile and lions of León within a double inner circle, divided by a bold cross. The mint mark 'P' appears to the left of the cross and the assayer's initial 'E' to the right, with the date below the shield. A beaded inner border separates the central design from the outer legend. The surrounding Latin legend reads PHILIPPVS DEI GRATIA REX, partially visible due to the irregular cob flan, with a crowned 'P' monogram at the top of the legend.
