| Obverse description | The obverse features the Mexican national arms at center: an eagle displayed, facing left, with wings spread, perched atop a nopal cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, grasping a serpent in its beak and right talon. The device is framed below by an ornamental wreath composed of oak and laurel branches tied at the base. The legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA curves along the upper periphery in incuse Latin capitals, with a reeded border encircling the entire field.
