Reverse description Central device consists of the quartered Royal Arms of Spain surmounted by a large open crown, the shield displaying the castles of Castile and lions of León in the first and fourth quarters, the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty in the central escutcheon, and the chained granada of Granada in the base. The mint mark M and assayer initial J appear at the top of the field flanking a cross and floral ornaments. The circular Latin legend DEXTERA·DOMINI·EXALTAVIT·ME, a biblical phrase from Psalm 118, runs around the periphery, separated by star and rosette stops. The entire design is enclosed within a milled inner border.
