| 背面描述 | A bold floriated cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing alternately a turreted castle and a passant lion, the whole enclosed within a quadrilobe ornamental border. The circumferential legend HISPANIARVM·ET·INDIARVM·REX· runs around the outer beaded border, proclaiming Philip IV as King of the Spains and the Indies. The cross and quartered design follow the standard type established for colonial silver coinage of the Spanish Empire, with the characteristic irregular flan shape resulting from the cob (macuquina) minting process. |
