| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by the crowned Royal Arms of Spain, quartered with castles of Castile and lions of León, with the fleur-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty in the centre point and the pomegranate of Granada at the base, all within an ornate baroque escutcheon surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The assayer initials MF appear to the left of the shield and the denomination numeral 8 to the right, each flanked by a rosette ornament. The peripheral legend, in Latin, reads CAROLVS III D G HISPAN ET IND REX, separated by pellet stops, running around the entire circumference within a beaded border. |
