Reverse description A crowned eagle with wings displayed perches atop a prickly pear cactus (nopal) growing from a rocky outcrop surrounded by water, closely following the traditional Mexican imperial eagle motif. The eagle faces left with its head turned to the viewer's right, talons gripping the cactus pad. The circular legend MEX·I·IMPERATOR · CONSTITUT·8·R·I·M surrounds the central device, referencing Agustín I as Mexico's first constitutional emperor and denoting the denomination of 8 Reales. The toothed border encircles the entire design.
