备注

Venezuela's brief experiment with reales-denominated paper currency ended almost as soon as it began. The 1861 issues emerged during a period of acute fiscal instability — the Federal War, which had erupted in 1859, was grinding through its fifth year, draining the national treasury and disrupting commerce across the country. Paper money was deeply distrusted by the Venezuelan public at this point, and with good reason.

Pick 25 is among the rarest survivors of this series. Most notes were either destroyed in the chaos of the war years or never formally entered circulation at all.
