Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Queen Isabella II facing right, rendered in low relief typical of cast copper coinage. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading ISABEL 2ª POR LA G. DE DIOS Y LA CONST., with the date 1837 positioned in the lower exergue area. The portrait is modeled in a neoclassical style, with the queen's hair swept back and a simple neckline visible. The rim is defined by a toothed or rope-like border encircling the entire obverse field.
