| Obverse description | Draped bust of Philip IV facing right, set within a raised inner circle at center of the field. The portrait depicts the king with long flowing hair and armored or draped shoulders in the characteristic late Habsburg style. The circumferential Latin legend PHILIPPVS IIII D G runs around the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan. The design is bordered by a beaded or toothed outer ring consistent with roller-milled coinage of the period. |
