| Obverse description | Draped bust of Philip IV facing right, set within a raised inner circle at center of the field. The portrait depicts the king with long flowing hair and armored or draped shoulders in the characteristic late Habsburg style. The circumferential Latin legend PHILIPPVS IIII D G runs around the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan. The design is bordered by a beaded or toothed outer ring consistent with roller-milled coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Quartered royal arms of Castile and León at center, displaying alternating castles and lions in the four quarters, surmounted by a royal crown above the shield. To the left of the shield appears the assayer mark R and the denomination numeral 8; to the right, the mint mark S for Seville. The date appears in the surrounding Latin legend HISPANIARVM REX followed by the year. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border, characteristic of roller-milled billon coinage of mid-seventeenth-century Spain. |
