正面描述 Within a pearled inner circle, a high royal crown surmounts the monogram R.F.P. (Regna Firmat Pietas — 'Piety Strengthens the Realms'). The outer legend, separated from the inner circle by a beaded border, reads CHRISTIANVS IIII D G DANI, identifying Christian IV as King of Denmark by the Grace of God. A mintmark may appear at the end of the legend. The design is rendered in the characteristic late Renaissance style of the Danish royal mint.

附加信息

Christian IV struck this denomination during a period of aggressive monetary reform — the king had spent the previous decade debasing smaller silver issues to fund an increasingly expensive foreign policy, and the skilling denominations were caught in repeated revaluations that eroded public confidence in the coinage. The "Type 2" distinction reflects a die modification made within the two-year run, a common occurrence in Danish minting of this period when engravers worked under pressure to meet circulation demand.

Christian's involvement in the Thirty Years' War, which drew Denmark in formally by 1625, was already consuming treasury resources by 1620.
