Obverse description The obverse field is occupied entirely by a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend arranged in four horizontal registers within a plain inner circle, itself enclosed by a beaded border running along the coin's periphery. The inscription, rendered in bold Ottoman Turkish script, reads the full royal titulature of Sultan Mustafa III, proclaiming him Sultan of the Two Lands and Khagan of the Two Seas. No figurative or geometric devices are present; the composition relies entirely on the monumental quality of the calligraphy to convey imperial authority. The raised lettering shows good relief against the flat, slightly granular field characteristic of hammered billon coinage of the Tunisian Beylik. The overall appearance is consistent with Ottoman-style provincial coinage of the late eighteenth century.
