| Obverse description | Large interlaced cypher of Landgrave Frederick II of Hesse-Cassel, formed by the intertwined letters F and W rendered in an elaborate cursive script with foliate flourishes and scrollwork at the base, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The monogram is surmounted by a detailed electoral crown with arched bands and cross-finial. The coin's border features a continuous milled or grained edge pattern. |
