Reverse description The Afghan royal arms dominate the central field, depicting two eagles displayed with wings spread flanking a central crowned mihrab motif, their bodies forming a heraldic composition above two crossed cornucopias. A prancing horse is depicted within the lower cartouche formed by the eagles and cornucopias. The Solar Hijri date ۱۳۳۹ (1339) appears to the left and the Lunar Hijri date ۱۳۸۰ (1380) to the right of the central device. The denomination ۸ گرام (8 Grams) is inscribed at the top and the mint name کابل (Kabul) appears at the bottom, all within a beaded border.
