Obverse description Irregular flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, angular Naskh script, densely filling the field without a border. The inscription reads the royal titulature of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughluq, arranged in three or four horizontal lines across the coin's surface. The lettering is deeply struck and characteristic of the hammered billon coinage of the Tughluq dynasty. No figurative devices or mint marks are present; the entire design is epigraphic in character. Minor flat spots and flan irregularities are consistent with contemporary hand-struck production.
