| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Ferdinand VI facing right, rendered in high relief with an elaborate flowing periwig in the Baroque style. The king wears a cuirass adorned with decorative elements and a lace cravat, characteristic of mid-18th century royal portraiture. The surrounding circular legend reads FERDINAND·VI·D·G·HISPAN·ET IND·REX, identifying the monarch as King of Spain and the Indies by the grace of God. The date 1753 appears in the lower field, flanked by small rosette ornaments. A finely toothed border frames the entire obverse design. |

| Reverse description | The crowned quartered arms of Spain occupy the central field, displaying the castles of Castile and lions of León in the first and fourth quarters, the pale-striped arms of Aragon in the second quarter, and the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty in the third quarter, with a central escutcheon. The royal crown surmounts the shield. The assayer initial J appears to the left of the shield and the denomination numeral 8 to the right, both flanked by decorative floral ornaments. The mint mark LM (Lima) appears twice in the lower field, separated by a small figure. The surrounding legend reads SAPIENTIA TIMOR DOMINI (The fear of the Lord is wisdom), taken from Proverbs, encircling the design within a toothed border. |
