| Obverse description | Armored bust of Ferdinand VI facing right, his long curled wig falling over his shoulders, rendered in the baroque style characteristic of mid-18th century Spanish colonial coinage. To the left of the effigy, the crowned Madrid mint mark (M) appears above the replica year 2002. The circular Latin legend around the periphery reads FERDINANDUS VI D G HISP REX, interrupted by decorative stops. The original coin date 1750 is inscribed in the lower exergual area, flanked by small ornamental stops, within a beaded inner border. |
