| Obverse description | Crowned coat of arms of Spain occupying the central field, featuring the quartered royal escutcheon with castles (Castile), lions (León), the Portuguese shield, the diagonal stripes (Aragon), the chains (Navarre), and the pomegranate (Granada), with the overall shield surmounted by a royal crown with fleurs-de-lis. The mint mark and assayer initial appear to the left of the shield. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer border between a raised rim and an inner beaded border. |
