| 表面の説明 | Draped bust of King Charles III of Spain facing right, depicted in elaborate armour with decorative collar and a flowing queue tied with a ribbon, engraved in the neoclassical portrait style introduced by Jerónimo Antonio Gil at the Mexico City Mint. The effigy occupies the central field with fine detail in the hair and garments. The circumferential legend reads CAROL·III·D·G· / HISP·ET·IND·R·, separated by pellets, commencing at the lower left and continuing around the periphery. The date 1770 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by pellets. The entire design is bordered by a closely reeded rim, characteristic of the milled coinage reform of New Spain. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse of this pewter trial piece is entirely uniface, presenting a completely blank, flat field with no design, legend, or device of any kind. The surface shows tool marks and handling consistent with an experimental planchet struck solely to test the obverse die. The reeded collar edge is present, confirming the use of the standard milling apparatus during the trial striking process. |
