Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Spain — comprising the castles of Castile and the lions of León, with Granada in base and the Bourbon fleur-de-lis in the center escutcheon — displayed on a crowned shield of elaborate baroque form. The shield is encircled by a decorative wreath of floral and foliate devices. The mint mark LM and assayer initials JM appear at the base flanking a trefoil ornament. The surrounding legend NOMINA MAGNA SEQUOR is inscribed around the periphery, with a toothed border at the rim.
