| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered royal arms of Spain surmounted by an elaborate royal crown occupy the center of the field. The shield displays the castles of Castile and lions of León in the first and fourth quarters, with the chains of Navarre and the pomegranate of Granada in the base, and a central escutcheon bearing the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty. The shield is encircled by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The mint mark 'So' and assayer initial 'J' appear at the bottom of the field flanking a mintmaster's mark, with the denomination '8' also indicated. The circumferential Latin legend IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO runs around the periphery. |
