(Translation: Carlos III by the grace of God King of Spain and the Indies)
Reverse description The crowned Royal Arms of Spain, rendered in fine detail, occupy the central field and are flanked on either side by the denomination numeral and mint marks. The shield is encircled by the collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the entire design along the periphery, with the assayer's initial and mint mark incorporated into the legend. A fine toothed border frames the design.
