| Reverse description | The quartered Royal Arms of Spain, surmounted by an elaborate royal crown, occupies the central field. The shield displays the castles of Castile, the lions of León, the chains of Navarre, the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty, and the pomegranate of Granada in the base. The entire achievement is encircled by the collar and pendant of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The denomination numeral '8' appears to the left of the shield and the assayer's initial 'S' to the right, with the mint mark 'P' and assayer initials 'SF' positioned below. A circular Latin legend surrounds the whole design within the milled border. |
