Obverse description Central field displays the early Chilean coat of arms comprising two snow-capped mountains beneath a radiant sun with a human face, flanked by two cornucopiae, the entire device enclosed within a wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base. The surrounding legend reads EL ESTADO D CHILE CONSTIT INDEPENDIENTE in Latin characters, distributed around the periphery. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded inner rim. A small pellet ornament appears at the bottom of the field beneath the wreath. The design reflects the nascent republican iconography adopted by Chile following independence.

Reverse description Central device features a liberty column surmounted by a globe and a five-pointed star, flanked by two crossed Chilean national flags with staffs and furled banners bearing stars, all resting on crossed cannons at the base. The entire central composition is encircled by a wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base. The peripheral legend POR LA RAZON • O LA FUERZA • So • 8E • I — incorporating the mint mark, denomination, and assayer initial — runs around the border in Latin script. A beaded inner rim frames the design, and a small pellet ornament appears at the bottom of the field.
