| Reverse description | Central field presents a dramatic depiction of a multi-tiered stone fortress or tower rising from turbulent waves, rendered in fine relief with meticulous architectural detail including battlements, windows, and rusticated masonry; the structure is likely an allegorical representation of the Hohensalzburg fortress as a symbol of steadfast faith. Flanking the tower at either side are large wind-heads (personifications of winds) blowing vigorously, while above the tower divine rays of light descend from clouds, conveying heavenly favour.
