Obverse lettering MON REIP BERNENSIS.
Reverse description The reverse displays a richly decorated Baroque cartouche framing a four-line Latin devotional inscription in bold raised lettering: BENE: / DICTUS SIT / IEHOVA / DEUS (Blessed be Jehovah God). The cartouche features elaborate scrollwork, foliate ornaments, and pendant tassels to either side, with a decorative finial above and a shell-like element below. The finely reeded border frames the entire composition, consistent with the high-quality milled production of the Bern Mint.
