Upon the eagle's breast is a crowned shield bearing the imperial arms, with an order suspended below. The surrounding legend, reading clockwise from the left, gives the full imperial titulature of Joseph II in abbreviated Latin. The design reflects the standard imperial eagle type used on Holy Roman Empire city coinage of the late 18th century. |
