| 正面描述 | The left half of the field features a circular inset depicting an intricate mosaic pavement pattern rendered in high relief, while a fluted Corinthian column rises prominently along the central axis. Above the column capital, an architectural arch frames a colorized stained-glass window depicting two haloed angels exchanging a laurel wreath beneath a descending dove radiating light, flanked by additional relief panels showing saintly figures at the portal level. To the upper left, a small diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right in the style of the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait. The legend '8 DOLLARS' appears to the left of the effigy and '3oz 999 FINE SILVER' is inscribed along the lower left border, with 'ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS' along the right border. |

The St. Lawrence Church in Nuremberg — almost certainly the subject here — survived Allied bombing in 1945 with significant structural damage, though its medieval interior fittings, including the famous Annunciation carving by Veit Stoss, had been evacuated beforehand. Reconstruction was completed by 1952. The Solomon Islands have issued numerous large-format silver pieces under licensing arrangements with European minting houses, this weight and diameter being characteristic of the Coin Invest Trust production runs out of Liechtenstein.
