Reverse description The reverse, designed by Ing Ing Jong, presents a finely detailed composition celebrating the Chinese Lunar Year of the Ox. A powerful adult ox stands in three-quarter view to the right, accompanied by a young calf at its side, both rendered in high sculptural relief. In the background to the left, a traditional Chinese rural village landscape is depicted in low relief, while a blossoming prunus branch extends across the upper field from the right, evoking the seasonal symbolism of the Lunar New Year. To the upper left, the Chinese character '牛' (Ox) is prominently displayed above the English inscription 'OX' and the date '2021', with the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark positioned at the lower right of the central design.
