The Perth Mint's lunar series has run continuously since 1996, making it one of the longest-unbroken bullion programs of the modern era. The 2025 Snake issue falls in the second full cycle through the Chinese zodiac, the first having concluded with the 2007 Pig. Charles III's effigy appears here for only the second year running — his portrait by King replacing the long-familiar Jody Clark likeness of Elizabeth II that defined the series across its first cycle and well into the second.
