Opis awersu	The right half of the note is dominated by a large intaglio-style vignette of a frilled lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) with its frill fully displayed, rendered in dark sepia tones against a green foliate background. The left portion carries a multicolour guilloche underprint in blue and pink, with a small gold decorative lizard vignette at centre-left and large pale blue letterpress text reading 'AUSTR' as a watermark-style underprint. The denomination '8 EIGHT AUSSIES' appears in bold at lower left, with 'AUSTRALIA' printed vertically in green at the right margin and the Latin species name 'Chlamydosaurus kingii' along the far right edge.
