His birth and death years 1823–1849 are inscribed vertically along the left rim. To the right of the portrait, the name PETŐFI SÁNDOR is engraved in two lines, beneath which a cursive quotation from his poetry reads 'A korlátlan természet vadvirága vagyok én' (I am the wild flower of untamed nature). Delicate sprays of wildflowers adorn the upper right and lower right of the field, framing the inscription in an artistic, naturalistic composition. |
