| Beschrijving keerzijde | A finely detailed relief of a Brontosaurus dominates the central field, depicted in a three-quarter rear view with its long neck arching upward and its head turned to the left. The dinosaur stands on all four legs with its tail curving along the lower right of the field. The species name BRONTOSAURUS is inscribed in the lower central field, with the denomination D 750 immediately below. The peripheral legend PRESERVE PLANET EARTH arcs around the upper portion of the coin, reflecting the environmental theme of the series. |

Bosnia and Herzegovina issued this coin in 1993 while actively at war, its government besieged in Sarajevo and its currency in freefall. The decision to produce a silver commemorative — and to theme it around a prehistoric animal rather than anything nationalist or political — reflects the ad hoc, almost surreal nature of early Bosnian state-building under siege. Such issues were produced largely for the collector export market, generating hard currency at a moment when the convertible mark did not yet exist and the dinar was collapsing by the week.
