St. Magnus is a small district on the northern edge of Bremen, and this 75 Pfennig note belongs to the dense wave of German municipal emergency money — Notgeld — issued between 1920 and 1922 when chronic small-coin shortages forced even minor communes to print their own fractional currency. The Gemeinde (municipality) contracted Konrad Hanf in Hamburg, a regional commercial printer responsible for a number of north German Notgeld issues during this period.
The 2#1166.2a reference places this within a numbered series, with the "6/6" suffix indicating the sixth note of a six-piece set — these complete series were frequently sold to collectors rather than spent, which is precisely why so many survive in unused condition.
