Reverse description Olive-green and blue note with bold geometric lattice panels flanking a central rectangular vignette in which a fantastical creature — resembling a large bear or forest beast — crouches beneath a spreading tree laden with foliage, while a smiling sun in yellow peeks through the branches at upper right and a mushroom and beetle appear in the foreground. Denomination panels reading '75 PFENNIG' are printed in black at the left and right margins. The lower portion carries the legend 'NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE BEVERN' in large bold capitals above a decorative geometric band.

Bevern is a small municipality in Lower Saxony, and this note is a product of the Kleingeldersatz crisis that gripped Germany in the early 1920s — a chronic shortage of small-denomination coins that pushed thousands of municipalities, cooperatives, and businesses into printing their own emergency currency. The Gemeinde Bevern's issue is among the more obscure rural examples: Conrad Hauf of Ratzeburg was a regional printer with no particular specialization in currency work, which places this firmly in the category of local commercial jobbing rather than purpose-built notgeld production.
